This recipe is so simple but is such a crowd pleaser. Made using unprocessed ingredients, the flavours sing for themselves. Adding peas makes this much lighter than regular guacamole and adds a welcome sweetness that complements the refreshing herbs. Team with Gluten Free tortillas, pitta or simply load onto your plate as an accompaniment, its delicious in any form!
When I was experimenting with ‘Cleaning Up’ Well known snack bars I came up with my Jaffa Bar. As delicious as it was, I felt that it was a bit mainstream and didn’t push the boundaries of flavour combinations. Cue my Vegan Apricot & Fennel Bar. Sweet and chocolatey but offset by the beautiful aniseed aroma of fennel. A match made in heaven and naturally nutritionally dense, gluten free, soy free and vegan. So easy to make, whip up a batch today.
With Summer approaching, the shops are full of interesting summer BBQ products. But looking closely, apparently healthy options are full of emulsifiers and unidentifiable ingredients. This inspired me to create this dip. Great for sharing with friends, its packed full of nutrients and flavour and really packs a punch. A fusion of Moroccan and Mexican flavours, it’s an all-round crowd pleaser. And with a cheeky hint of turmeric and cinnamon, it keeps your gut happy too!
Perfect for vegans as the avocado content ensures that you receive every amino acid your body requires whilst the raw cacao keeps you buzzing with antioxidants. The raw nut base boosts the protein content further whilst all the ‘healthy fats’ leave your skin, hair & nails in tip top condition.
Sour Cherries are renowned for relieving ailments such as arthritis, gout and even insomnia whilst Tonka Beans give a subtle vanilla spice note.
Enjoy with friends or just sit with a big slice to yourself (this is NOT for sharing!)
Entirely gluten and refined sugar free, these vegan bars needn’t make you feel indulgent! The combination of coconut and chocolate pack a huge antioxidant hit, whilst boosting immunity and providing a good source of healthy fats. Gluten free oats ensure that you will stay nice and full until your next meal. This nutritional content, combined with the flavours of the tropics make for the ideal treat to keep you full until the next meal (or if you’re just craving something sweet!) Healthy, delicious snacking!
Fermented foods have long been renowned for their nutritional benefits. An ancient form of food preservation, the harnessing of ‘good bacteria’ preserve the full nutritional profile of the vegetables whilst boosting your gut flora to aid digestion. This Korean speciality is eaten as a pre dinner digestive aid but I find myself snacking on it at all times of the day!
