From bloom to frost: A cinematic journey of four Gin bottles
Project challenge
Four Stories is a premium seasonal gin collection, each bottle embodying the spirit, flavour and feeling of a different season.
This photography and videography brief is designed to bring the story of Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter to life through carefully styled imagery and cinematic motion that evokes mood, memory, and the sensual experience of sipping the seasons.
Creative Approach
Each gin tells a seasonal story: one of nature’s transitions, sensory nostalgia, and botanical nuance.
The visual identity had to reflect:
• The hue, light, and tone of each season.
• Seasonal botanicals and ingredients used in the Gins.
• Emotive storytelling through styling, props, and natural textures.
• A warm, romantic, slow-living aesthetic that invites the viewer to pause and savour.
Visual goals
Spring - Fresh awakening:
• Mood: Gentle, green, hopeful.
A celebration of new growth and clarity.
• Palette: Soft greens, dew whites, early lavender, light wood.
• Styling: Windowsill light, garden herbs, blooming branches, sprigs of rosemary and lavender.
• Shot Style: Backlit or side-lit for glow, shallow depth of field for softness.
• Video: Capture condensation, light streaming, lavender swirling into tonic, garden sounds.
Summer - Blushed Romance:
Mood: Sun-drenched, flirtatious, floral.
A heady afternoon bloom.Palette: Rosé pinks, peach, coral, strawberry blush, petal white.
Styling: Garden roses, fresh strawberries, crystal glassware, silk or linen textures.
Shot Style: Golden hour warmth, close-ups of petals in drinks, soft focus.
Video: Petal drops into glass, effervescence rising, breeze rustling flowers.
Autumn – Golden Nostalgia
• Mood: Earthy, golden, comforting.
A harvest story.
• Palette: Warm ambers, orchard reds,
rustic brown, muted greens.
• Styling: Apples, wood textures, baskets, old knives, weathered surfaces.
• Shot Style: Moody side lighting, textured backdrops, a touch of grain for warmth.
• Video: Apple slicing, gin pouring, leaves falling, wood creaking underfoot.
Winter – Dark Enchantment:
Mood: Mysterious, deep, spiced.
A tale of stillness and depth.Palette: Inky blues, deep purples, berry red, candlelight gold.
Styling: Blackberries, evergreen foliage, dark florals, candlelight or dim lighting.
Shot Style: High contrast with shadows, rich tones, elegant vintage props.
Video: Berries dropping into fizz, slow stir, candle flicker, frost on glass.
Storytelling through the video
A short, elegant video is designed to bring the story of Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter to life through carefully curated cinematic motion that evokes mood, memory, and the sensual experience of sipping the seasons.
Results
This campaign finally portrays the concept of the brand throug rich, cinematic gallery of images and video that cpture the sensory essence of each season.
The visuals invite the audeince not just to sip the Gin, but to feel the season it represents.
