A story of food, shapes and changing seasons

Project challenge

Charlotte Manser’s ceramics are more than vessels, they’re tactile expressions of the seasons, made to elevate everyday rituals into slow, sensory experiences.

This campaign brings her stoneware to life through five artistically styled recipes that reflect the seasons’ bounty and pair organically with the hues, glazes, and forms of her work.

The goal was to elevate Charlotte’s ceramics through recipes that feel like home, while delivering versatile branded visuals for campaigns and product launches.

Creative Approach

The challenge was to create a seasonal collection of imagery that felt lived-in and intimate, while also capturing the craftsmanship and artistry of her brand.

We developed a series of five shoots spanning late summer into autumn. Each recipe became a story in itself, pairing food, ceramics, and mood to reflect the rhythms of slow living and the values of her audience.

The elements of creative direction:

Mood: rustic elegance, painterly textures, soft natural light

Tone: poetic, seasonal, nostalgic, grounding and serene

Storytelling in five scenes

Peach, Raspberry & Burrata Salad

Dish: a creamy burrata nestled among summer peaches, vibrant raspberries, fresh mint, peas & chilli oil

Ceramics: off-white oval platter + matte bowls for fruit

Moodboard Keywords: orchard harvest, sun-warmed fruit, spontaneous alfresco meals

Props: antique gold tongs, linen with floral motifs, soft torn bread, olive oil jug

Purpose: evoke seasonal spontaneity and intimate sharing, framed by ceramic curves

Peach, Fennel & Nasturtium Leaf Salad

Dish: Shaved peaches, grilled fennel, toasted almonds, green beans, edible flowers.

Ceramics: Soft speckled stone plates in round form.

Moodboard Keywords: botanical, early autumn light, earthy elegance.

Props: Foraged nasturtium flowers, scissors, aged wood boards, mustard dressing.

Purpose: Bring textural depth and edible foraged beauty into a wabi-sabi aesthetic.

Matcha Latte Ceremony

Dish: Frothy matcha whisked in stoneware pitcher and sipped from small tea cups.

Ceramics: Forest green and earthy-toned matcha set (jug, cup, board).

Moodboard Keywords: Grounded, meditative, Japanese-inspired stillness.

Props: Chasen whisk, matcha dust, gold infuser ball, linen napkin.

Purpose: Celebrate the form-function beauty of Charlotte’s teaware as part of quiet daily ritual.

Roasted Plum & Star Anise Jam

Mood: Earthy, golden, comforting.
A harvest story.

• Palette: Warm ambers, orchard reds,
rustic brown, muted greens.

• Styling: Apples, wood textures, baskets, old knives, weathered surfaces.

• Shot Style: Moody side lighting, textured backdrops, a touch of grain for warmth.

• Video: Apple slicing, gin pouring, leaves falling, wood creaking underfoot.

Pink Grapefruit & Black Pepper Butter:

  • Dish: Whipped butter infused with pink grapefruit zest and cracked black pepper, served with waffles or baked potato.

    Ceramics: Blush pink speckled plates + stackable serving plates.

    Moodboard Keywords: Playful luxury, breakfast joy, tactile contrast.

    Props: Grapefruit halves, waffle knife, soft napkins, scattered peppercorns.

    Purpose: Highlight how the soft pink glaze echoes citrus brightness and warmth.

Storytelling through the video

A short, elegant video is designed to bring the story of Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter to life through carefully curated cinematic motion that evokes mood, memory, and the sensual experience of sipping the seasons.

Results

This campaign finally portrays the concept of the brand throug rich, cinematic gallery of images and video that cpture the sensory essence of each season.

The visuals invite the audeince not just to sip the Gin, but to feel the season it represents.
