Furikake Dippy Egg

Dippy Egg, can any words bring more nostalgia and comfort? I remember looking wide eyed as a child at my brother and sister (ten years older than me) dunking crispy toast soldiers in the softest of eggs, wondering if I would ever be adult enough to do the same.

Fast forward a few years and while I am able to enjoy this joyous morning treat, I am still no more adult… a work in progress.

Furikake Dippy Egg

Dippy Egg, can any words bring more nostalgia and comfort? Ingredients

• 1 Egg, room temperature
• 1 tsp Furikake, you can use my homemade recipe
• 1 Slice Bread, toasted
• 1tbsp Salted Butter]
• 1tbsp Cress, snipped

Instructions

1. Bring a pan of water to a rolling boil, add the egg and set a timer for exactly 4 minutes.
2. Meanwhile butter the toast, slice into soldiers and sprinkle with cress
3. When the egg is cooked, place in an egg cup, slice off the top and spinkle with the furikake.
4. Dip the soldiers with the glee of a 10 year old child...
