A Moscow Mule always makes me think of my Mum. She can tolerate alcohol even less than I can, but growing up, this was her drink of choice.

Now we are both older and a little more eccentric, we still fall back on Halcyon days, but with an air of sophistication (we like to think).

So, a hint of Spice, a waft of Earthy Warmth and a kiss of Tart yet Sweet Citrus, it really is the drink of Winter….

Toasted Cumin & Clementine Moscow Mule

A hint of Spice, a waft of Earthy Warmth and a kiss of Tart yet Sweet Citrus, it really is the drink of Winter….

Ingredients

• 60ml Vodka
• 60ml Clementine Juice
• 10ml Lime Juice
• ½ tsp Cumin Seeds, dry toasted
• 1 tbsp Maple Syrup
• 180ml Ginger Beer
• Ice, A Few Toasted Cumin Seeds & Dried Clementine to serve

Instructions

1. Crush the toasted cumin seeds in a pestle &mortar and mix into the maple syrup.
2. In a mixing glass, stir the Vodka, Clementine Juice, Lemon Juice & Spiced Syrup with 3 ice cubes for 30 seconds to chill.
3. Half fill a copper mug with ice and pour in the liquid. Top with the Ginger Beer, sprinkle with a couple of toasted cumin seed sand serve with a dried Clementine Slice
