Son De Flor Spring
A Story of natural fabric, nature and living in harmony with the land
Project challenge
Son de Flor’s garments are more than clothing, they are expressions of slow living, femininity, and timeless design. Each piece is made to move with the body and sit gently within nature, echoing a life lived with intention.
This campaign set out to bring the collection to life through immersive, story-driven imagery that reflects the changing seasons and the emotional connection between wearer, landscape, and garment.
The goal was to elevate Son de Flor’s pieces beyond product, creating a visual narrative that feels effortless, livedin, and deeply aligned with their ethos, while delivering versatile assets for seasonal campaigns and digital platforms.
Creative Approach
The challenge was to create imagery that feels both editorial and intimate capturing movement, texture, and emotion while allowing the garments to exist naturally within their surroundings.
We developed a series of shoots across Dorset’s rolling hills, wild meadows, and coastal edges, following the transition from soft spring into early summer light. Each scene became a moment, a feeling, where fabric, wind, and landscape interact.
The elements of creative direction:
Mood: windswept, painterly, nostalgic, grounded in nature
Tone: romantic, free-spirited, feminine, quietly joyful
Natural light was used to sculpt the scenes, from soft diffused skies to golden coastal glow, allowing the linen to breathe, move, and catch light in an organic, tactile way.
Storytelling in five scenes
Coastal Reverie
Garment: Soft blue linen dress
Setting: Dorset shoreline, waves and pebbled beach
Moodboard Keywords: coastal calm, golden light, quiet romance
Props & Elements: bouquet of yellow flowers, sea foam, wind
Purpose:
To soften the narrative into something reflective and serene. The blue linen echoes the sea, while the movement of fabric mirrors the rhythm of the tide, grounding the collection in peaceful, emotional storytelling.
The Gingham Escape
Garment: Red gingham linen dress
Setting: Open hillside, wild grasses, rustic fencing
Moodboard Keywords: countryside freedom, playful nostalgia, windswept joy
Props & Elements: weathered wood, gorse flowers, open sky, boots
Purpose:
To capture spontaneity and movement, the dress lifted by the wind, embodying a carefree spirit. The gingham pattern becomes both nostalgic and bold, grounded by the raw textures of the Dorset landscape.
The Dance of Linen
Garment: Deep red linen dress
Setting: Open field under bright midday sun
Moodboard Keywords: movement, femininity, freedom, sunlit energy
Props & Elements: dry grass, open space, strong shadows
Purpose:
To celebrate the movement and structure of linen, the way it lifts, folds, and flows. This scene highlights the craftsmanship of the garment through motion rather than stillness.
The Elevated Moment
Garment: Red gingham linen dress
Setting: Stone plinth overlooking rolling countryside
Moodboard Keywords: perspective, lightness, elevation, playful elegance
Props & Elements: natural stone, distant village backdrop, soft breeze
Purpose:
To create a sense of lightness and lift, a fleeting moment suspended between movement and stillness. The composition draws the eye outward, positioning the wearer as part of the wider landscape.
The Forager’s Pause
Garment: Spring Pink & Lilac Dress
Setting: Wild greenery and Gardens
Moodboard Keywords: foraging, abundance, stillness, connection to land
Props & Elements: basket of flowers, clematis, dappled light
Purpose:
To root the collection in ritual and seasonality — a quiet moment of gathering and presence. The softness of the pink mirrors the flowers, creating harmony between garment and nature.
Outcome
The final body of work presents Son de Flor’s collection as an extension of a slower, more intentional life, where clothing moves with you, holds memory, and belongs to the seasons.
The imagery delivers a cohesive yet varied visual library, balancing storytelling with brand clarity, and offering versatile assets across social, web, and campaign use.
