The sharp tang of lemon, the yin and yang, opposites attract, its perfect in so many variations. Be it this velvet smooth sour or a delicately sparkling grapefruit gin fizz, both ignite and uplift.

Rose Gin Sour

A Rose does not answer its enemies with words but with beauty…Rose, a dividing taste, but one that sings to my very soul, that delicate floral aroma wafts and caresses as it sweeps through any matrix.

Ingredients

• 1 Lemon Wedge
• 1 tbsp Edible Rose & Cornflower Petals
• 50ml Cambridge Japanese Gin (or any citrus forward Gin)
• 15ml Rose Amaro (I use Chapel Down)
• 15ml Rose Syrup
• 30ml Lemon Juice
• 1 Egg White, I use 3 drops Vegan Foamer, Mrs Better’s Bitters
• Ice to shake.

Instructions

1. Rub a lemon wedge around the rim of a coupe glass and dip in rose petals. Pop in the fridge while you make the sour.
2. Add all the ingredients to a Boston shaker without ice and shake vigorously for 30 seconds.
3. Add 4 ice cubes and shake again for 30 seconds.
4. Strain into your chilled coupe and allow to settle for 1 minute before serving.
