Elderberry & Ginger Syrup
My mum is 80 and still rides rollercoasters… so perhaps she knows something we don’t.
Maybe it’s a little mischief, a lot of laughter and the occasional bottle of hedgerow magic.
This Elderberry Super Tonic is my jewel-dark dose of vitamin C goodness, bursting with elderberries and warming ginger, and made for those days when your immune system could do with a little seasonal love.
Because longevity isn’t just about adding years to your life… it’s about adding life to your years.
Preferably the sort that involves throwing your hands in the air on a rollercoaster at 80.
Deep, jewel-dark and gloriously seasonal, this elderberry syrup is one of those little bottles that feels like capturing late summer before it slips away. Fresh elderberries are gently simmered with warming ginger and golden sugar to create a beautifully rich syrup for drizzling, stirring and pouring.

Elderberries should always be cooked before consuming, and take particular care to remove the stems and any leaves before cooking. The finished syrup is wonderful splashed into sparkling water, spooned over yoghurt or ice cream, drizzled over pancakes, or shaken into an autumnal cocktail. Or do as we do and take 1tbsp a day…..
