Inspired by a drink at a London Café this encompasses all that is arboreal in a mug. Smokey, creamy and bitter, its mellow sweetness is foiled by the fresh scent of cedar oil.

Forest Hot Chocolate, Smoked Cedar & Oat

Inspired by a drink at a London Café this encompasses all that is arboreal in a mug. Smokey, creamy and bitter, its mellow sweetness is foiled by the fresh scent of cedar oil.

Ingredients

• 500ml Oat Milk
• 100g Vegan Dark Chocolate
• ½ tbsp Maple Syrup
• Small Pinch Sea Salt Flakes
• 4 drops Cedar Oil
• Oak Chips for smoking

Instructions

1. Warm the milk & maple syrup in a small pan. Add the chocolate and melt over a medium low heat, whisking as you go.
2. Once melted, whisk rapidly to lighten then remove from the heat. Add the cedar oil and sea salt flakes and whisk again.
3. Add 1 tbsp oak chips to a heatproof tray and ignite. Blow out and invert a mug over the smoke. Stand for 1 minute then quicky add ½ the hot chocolate to the smoke scented mug. Repeat with another mug and serve immediately. Forest surroundings essential.
