Ingredients

For the Cocktail

• 50ml Reposado Tequila
• 25ml Cointreau (or Triple Sec)
• 60ml cloudy apple cider (the spiced kind if you have it, or see spice option below)
• 15ml fresh lime juice
• Optional: a dash of cinnamon or apple pie spice
• Ice

For the Rim & Garnish

• 1 tbsp golden caster sugar
• ½ tsp ground cinnamon
• Lime wedge (for rimming)
• Garnish:
• Apple slice or dehydrated apple wheel
• Cinnamon stick (optional)

Instructions

1. Rim the Glass:
2. On a small plate, mix the sugar and cinnamon. Rub the rim of your glass with a lime wedge, then dip into the cinnamon sugar. Set aside.
3. Mix the Drink:
4. In a shaker, add tequila, Cointreau, apple cider, lime juice, and a dash of cinnamon (if using). Fill with ice and shake well for 15–20 seconds until chilled.
5. Serve:
6. Strain into your prepared glass over fresh ice (or serve straight up in a coupe for elegance). Garnish with a thin apple slice or dehydrated apple wheel, and a cinnamon stick if you’re feeling extra festive.
7. Optional Twist — Spiced Cider:
8. If you’re using plain cider, gently warm 250ml cider with a cinnamon stick, 1 clove, and a strip of orange zest. Let cool before using in the drink — the spices will bloom beautifully.
